Ayun point of view (Part 1)

Ayun here, and it seems like things are getting serious.

Well we are already in relationship quite long,so it is time to make it official as Husband & Wife.

This is my take on what Aisyah is worrying about :

1. Ring

I will try my best to get you THE Ring that you eyeing on (Oh i know which ring that you want,i will do my best to get it for you, but no promises ok?)

2. Date

Yes we have not set up a date yet for our wedding. I don't want to rush things up where we only have few months to prepare. If can we take the last date mummy gave us, which is 30th November?

3. Venue

I actually prefer a garden wedding at night. But its not easy to find and its not cheap. But i will settle for a clubhouse garden, there are few places in mind like Bangi Golf Club, Impian Golf & Country Club, Sunway Semenyih Clubhouse,, Putrajaya or Cyberjaya? We just do 1 reception, combine our sides and only do reception dinner,no bersanding (but i hope there will be a simple pelamin so we can take pictures with our family and friends, just for that purpose)

4. Akad Nikah

Will be done at the nearest Mosque after Asar, where later still got time for the reception dinner around 8pm -8.30pm.

5. Food / Cake

Will do a food testing with selected caterers ( I know sya really like the caterers from Farah Hana Family Open House ). If they are within our budject then i wouldnt mind hiring them. But for now lets see what the Clubhouse and others can offer us.

6. Canopy, Tables, Chair and P.A System

Usually the place that we are going to hire will provide all this,we can go and ask the clubhouses about this.

7. Flowers

If we going to have a pelamin then we will find flowers that suitable, as i know Aisyah loves her Lilies and White Roses. We see how it goes and where can find fresh and cheap flowers. (LOL cheapskates)

8. Hantaran / Gifts

Hantaran i wont ask much as perhaps 5 or 7? I wont ask PS3, Hi Def TV etc. I just want a simple yet usefull items that can be used. Goodybag or Gifts i think its easy if we can get Sticky to pack a few candies to be give?

9. Colour / Theme

I prefer Blue, Orange and Pink. Theme is Garden Wedding?

10. Photographer(pre-wedding?) / Makeup Artist

For photographers i can ask around my friends, for pre wedding and wedding. Plus during wedding / reception dinner i would love to get some one to take a lots of picture but using the Polaroid camera, like instant Candid Moments. That also can be use to take pictures at the Pelamin with the rest of the Gang.

11. wedding dress rental or tailor made?

I prefer to rent it (If we are doing the traditional typical malay style) BUT i would love to do an american style wedding where I would wear a Tux or a Suit while Aisyah wear a dress.

12. Fitness

Jog and Exercise! Go for gym... no pain no gain, want to look beautiful for wedding day, well got to sacrifice my dear.

13. A place to stay after marriage

This one i already have a place ( Which my parents are giving me as a gift for getting marry ) but im not sure if comfortable enough or not. But for sure will do some renovation and make it work as the place is just nice for the two of us. ( Place cannot tell hehe)

So that is my conclusion for now, as it is part 1 only.

Feel free to comment ;)

I liked the idea purple for a wedding, however Kak Mel has done purple and it is too commercial.

Maroon is nice however it's abit "garang"

Ayun likes blue, maybe maroon does goes well with blue however I prefer soft orange kinda colour

afew example.

OMG i have millions of pictures heres a few theme/colours
Simple things to think and get over so it would not be a hassle later

Hair

- Would like to be messy curly
- Half tied up
- Flower tied to the hair, maybe orchid or lily or bunga mawar, or some other flower like in the picture.
- should highlight hair? (maybe not)
- will wear wig as would like the hair to fall to waistline.
I'm keeping an online journal here for my marriage, so I can track and also for my friends to keep updated of the situation

Excited and nervous, that is how I feel.

A year or 2 before we did think about settling down, but it was just talk and not the walk. And being young, i wanted everything to be lavish, 3 rings, reception at hotel etc.

Now I want it to be simple. Just 1 ring would do. Better save a little for the down payment on the apartment/house.

or upgrade car *grins*

We have not set a date, however it would before Nov 30th, or before mummy fly to USA.She have set a date between Sept 15th - Nov 30th, she have not bought any tickets to USA yet though.

Venue would be garden/pool/lake area. Unsure if want to spend more on a restaurant by the lake or something, but a club house would do.

A few things to consider. We may want to do 1 reception, combine both side together. Nikah after Asar and dinner reception after that.

So much thing to discuss and plan

venue
Food/cake
canopy and what not
Flowers
Hantaran/Gifts
Colour/Theme
Photographer(pre-wedding?)/Makeup Artist
wedding dress rental or tailor made?
fitness
a place to stay after marriage

anything else I missed out?
